Toys For Tots 15th Annual

This is a little advance notice about an
upcoming event that I know all bikers will
want to know about. On December 6, 2009
the 15th Annual Toys for Tots Run will be held
in Sherman-Denison, Texas. Over the years
this event has raised in excess of $100,000
for the Salvation Army. The entry fee is two
canned food items and an unwrapped toy to
help make someone's Christmas a little bit
better. Over the years it has been held, rain
or shine, and the bikers continue to show up
to help. From a fairly meager beginning in
1995 to 2008, when over a thousand bikes
showed up, bikers have come from all over
North Texas and Southern Oklahoma to be
a part of this event. For the last few years
bikers have formed up at the Red River Autoplex
at exit 70 of U.S. Highway 75 in Denison. The
early ones will be there at 10am but the
procession will not leave until 1pm. Last year
we had a line of motorcycles over two miles
long snaking its way from Denison down the
Parkway to Sherman and ending up at the
American Legion Hall for a great
meal. The fun and fellowship can't be beat...and
it all goes for a good cause. Make your plans
now so you don't miss out. These photos are
from the 2008 Toys For Tots Run..
